NUCLEAR INDUSTRY
Fatigue and Fracture are among the most important issues in the nuclear industry. Compliance with standards is no longer sufficient in some cases and the use of predictive methods is necessary, especially when service loads generate states of multiaxial stresses and deformations.

MXDVFAT has already proven in many cases its effectiveness in designing structures that must withstand fatigue, whether in polycyclic fatigue or low cycle fatigue. Notably in the following cases:

-         Polycyclic fatigue under thermomechanical loading
-         Low-cycle fatigue under thermomechanical loading where a methodology to address it effectively has been developed
-         Vibration fatigue
-         Fatigue of pipes, especially in mixing zones
-         Fatigue caused by contact between solids

MECAMIX has also developed a methodology for calculating fatigue crack propagation in the presence of residual stresses.

MECAMIX has the skills to carry out various specific studies of the nuclear industry. Here are two examples of studies that have been completed:

-         Assessment of the mechanical strength of the REP combustible protection during a power transitory
-         Development of a Laser utility. It is dedicated software that can be used to dismantle old power plants
